WELCOME TO SATRANGI

Satrangi was formed in 2001 out of a small basement in NJ. Over the years it has grown into a full fledged company with over 4,000 graduate students and also with over 25 centers across the tri-state area. Satrangi as its usually called believes in teaching and inculcating respect for dance, its techniques, and its presentation. We are known for our unique fusion of dance moves, an amalgamation of Indian dance forms with western steps so that our dances not only become interesting they can communicate to audiences across the borders.

As its said for an artist the best place on earth is “THE STAGE” and Satrangi over the years has grown, evolved and matured into a solid dance academy where dancers come to learn dances, to become friends and to become a “FAMILY”.

With an impressive line up of dance performances like “OBAMA CORZINE CONVENTION” where we were the only Indian Bollywood dance school chosen from East coast to represent the Bollywood category infront of 22,000 people in Prudential Arena, to Shah Rukh Khan Show, Amitabh Bacchan Concert with Aishwraya Rai and Abhishek, Performances with Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle, Sudhesh Bhosle, and performances at the Rockstars Concert with Salman Khan, John Abraham and Kareena Kapoor.

Satrangi has been inventing and revolutionizing the dance industry and the team believes in doing their work with honesty, integrity and with Passion. Apart from Highly Coveted Dance Shows, they have also represented on shows like SONY TV Boogie Woogie USA and International for SONY TV, Zee TV Ethnic Shows, and South Asian Excellence Awards in 2009, AT&T South Asian Show.

Satrangi has also won most of the prestigious Dance competitions across East Coast that includes, NAYA ANDAZ with wins in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. Having consistently delivered quality and edgy performances that gave the students an opportunity to showcase their dance talents.

DANCE STYLES TAUGHT

Satrangi was a brain child of its founds Rohit Baxi, created as a summer group back in 2001, it was a group of small kids ( 6 of them) who wanted to just learn a dance for an AT&T show.
